Bridgette Wilkison giving a deep tissue massageBridgette is passionate about facilitating a massage that is a mind, body and spirit experience, by decreasing stress and increasing circulation, while relaxing the mind and body. Her goal is helping others through touch therapy and introspective teaching of whole body wellness while continuing her education and taking all that she has learned and combining it into a complete wellness experience working with soft tissue, energy techniques and nutrition.

Bridgette grew up in Southern California and Northern Virginia. In 1992 she moved to Portland/ Gresham Oregon. In 1989 Bridgette began her professional interest in caring for the health of others and became a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). From 1990 to 1994 Bridgette worked as an in-home CNA, as well as at a retirement center specializing in Alzheimer’s and Multiple Sclerosis. From 2000 to 2010, Bridgette and her husband Ron fostered 18 teen girls while also raising three boys and five girls. Bridgette understands the value of giving children calming massages.

In 2010 Bridgette followed her passion to continue her education and enrolled in the University of Western States Massage Therapy Program. While in the program she completed internships at Northwest Cancer Specialists of Portland, Oregon, Gresham Integrated Care and Columbia Integrated Care. Through the massage program she has learned many modalities including; Sport, Orthopedic, Pregnancy, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Myofascial Release and Trigger Point Therapy.

License

Bridgette Wilkison earned her massage therapy license from the University of Western States Massage Therapy Program in 2011. While in the massage therapy program she completed internships at Northwest Cancer Specialists of Portland, Oregon, Gresham Integrated Care, and Columbia Integrated Care — all within the Portland, East County area.

What sets Bridgette apart from other massage therapists is her innate ability to feel pain and disruptive channels of energy in others. She not only practices every day giving her clients chronic pain relief, stress relief, back pain relief, car accident pain, and sports injury, but she strives to be the best. This ability and drive led her to broaden her education and achieve a national certification through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworks (NCBTMB).

Her goal is to help her clients back to a healthy life style quickly — free of pain and without interruptions in their day-to-day activities.

Bridgette Wilkison, LMT, NCBTMB is aspiring to be a Holistic Nutrition Consultant and is currently pursuing certification while practicing massage therapy in Gresham, Oregon. Bridgette was top in her class and earned honors in herbal medicine at American College of Health Sciences.
