Types of Massage Therapymassage testimonial

  • Swedish Massage - Rhythmic strokes, kneading and compression for relaxation and circulation. Swedish massage is a broad, all-encompassing massage to relax the body to fire up your endorphins. Does not address muscular problems, but is used in conjunction with Sports, Injury or other type of massages.
  • Deep Tissue Pain (including sports Injury, chronic pain reliel, chronic stress relief, and back pain relief) - Slow muscle-specific strokes. Typical deep tissue massage is used when clients feel knots in their muscles causing restrictions or pain. People who have a job that requires repetitive motion benefits from a deep tissue massage.
  • Sports Injury - Deep, vigorous strokes to ready muscles or assist in recovery. The #1 goal of a sport's injury massage is to keep the athlete's muscles ready to perform at their peak. Some sports injury massages are directed by a sport's trainer or coach.
  • Injury - Designed to assist in recovery. Clients who have car accident pain, have a sport's injury or other type of injury require a regularly scheduled treatment plan to support the healing process. Most injury massage therapys are accompanied by a doctor's referral.
  • Stretching/MET (Muscle Energy Techniques) - Lengthen short muscles. Passive, Assisted, Resisted or Active stretching is used to bring the client to their optimum flexibility. Muscles require different techniques based on the client's muscular response.
  • Craniosacral - Gentle deep work to soft tissue (fascia) to balance the whole body's nervous system. Many people only need 1-3 treatments. Craniosacral massage therapy can also be used to balance a specific path of your body.
